Things to do for the whole family, surrounded by nature!
In the lakeside sauna you can relax and enjoy a genuine Finnish sauna atmosphere, while the clear waters of the shore invite you in for a refreshing swim.
Lakeside sauna
The cosy lakeside sauna is the perfect place to unwind after a day of activities.
The lakeside sauna has two sides, A and B, each with a sauna for roughly 10–15 people, a changing room, a toilet and showers. During public sauna sessions, sauna A is for men and sauna B for women. From the sauna you can walk along the terrace and swim from our own pier.
For guests staying at the campsite, a public sauna session is included in the price daily from 3 pm to 5 pm in summer.
In the evenings the saunas can be booked for sessions starting on the hour between 6 pm and 9 pm, EUR 30 / 50 min.
Visitors not staying at the campsite can buy access to the public sauna session daily from 3 pm to 5 pm, EUR 6 per visit.
During our autumn opening period, the sauna facilities are unavailable.
Swimming
The area is home to the welcoming public beach of the town of Ähtäri, where you can enjoy summer days and lake views. Right next door you will also find Loiske, Ähtäri’s indoor swimming pool.
Swimming beach for pets
Furry family members have been thought of too – the campsite has its own swimming beach for pets.
Minigolf
A holiday favourite for the whole family.
We are renewing the minigolf courses during spring and summer 2026. Please check availability at reception.
Beach volleyball court
Beach volleyball adds movement and team spirit to your holiday. The court works just as well for a relaxed game as for faster-paced matches between friends. Spend a summer day playing and keeping active by the lake!
Nature trails
The local nature trails lead to beautiful scenery and quiet forest. The routes are well suited to walking, watching wildlife and simply relaxing. The trails start right at Ähtäri Camping.
